News Writing/Editing
Our talented team of writing professionals works with legislators to communicate specific ideas and knowledge to the public. Our writing services include press releases, speeches and talking points, Op-Eds and letters to the editor, and letters to constituents.
Graphic Design
We have an extensive design team, capable of meeting even the most-demanding graphic needs. Our team uses creativity and innovation as a basis to bring every design project from conceptualization to reality. Many projects include, social media posts, custom logos, artwork and much more.
Direct Mail Marketing
The LCO graphic design team is experienced with a wide variety of design software, allowing us to produce and edit a multitude of design pieces, from newsletters and mail-outs, to surveys, brochures and pamphlets.
Photography and Videography
The LCO has a staff of dedicated photographers for each chamber of the Legislature for both committee and chamber meetings. Photos are stored and organized by the LCO team to be made easily accessible to all members of the Legislature. Video pieces can be created upon request quickly and easily with our variety of photo and video resources.
Constituency Outreach
Our office works to create unique opportunities for our Legislators to connect with the citizens of Louisiana. We do this through helping members of the Legislature with outreach initiatives and programs; also assisting with social media connections, district surveys, and town hall meetings.
News Monitoring
The LCO uses state of the art software to provide real-time news coverage to the members of the Legislature. Our office can provide complete media coverage based on name, district/city, or by topic, keeping Legislators informed on local matters.
Video Streaming/Web Design
The LCO Web & Digital Media team oversees the online streaming and archiving of all legislative proceedings and manages more than 20 websites for the legislature and conjoined entities.
Civic Education
The LCO plays a vital role in Civic Education. Each year, Legislators are asked to complete in-school visits with students to teach them the importance of civics both locally and on a national level. Our office helps to coordinate and plan these school visits, providing resources and materials for members to take with them to the classroom for demonstration and education purposes.
Press Conferences/Media Briefings
The LCO maintains a lengthy list of media contacts statewide and maintains a healthy working relationship with the media. Our office can facilitate press conferences/briefings and assist members of the legislature with preparing statements and talking points on issues they would want to discuss.
Press Credentialing
The LCO credentials only members of the working news media for coverage of the Louisiana Legislature.
Audio/Video Management
The LCO manages the audio and video systems of the State Capitol, providing technical support to the camera, audio and cable television operations within the building.
